The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it can be alarmed concerning the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial SRD variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The company place designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.

For more information, SRD community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
